HOW DOES IT WORK?
The identification and tracking of patients and devices is done with the help of small, coin-sized
beacons. The beacon remains with the patient (or at least close to them if it has to be taken off during
examination) during their entire time inside the facility, identifying them throughout their journey. By tracking the beacon,
Medicort provides real-time information on the position and status of the
patient.
The tracking is performed by a network of sensors,
which can be easily installed above a suspended
ceiling, thus becoming practically invisible.
Based on the size of the building and the desired
precision of positioning, the network can be scaled with ease. Its installation is only needed where
tracking is required (waiting and consultation rooms typically) and can later be extended or rearranged without difficulty if need arises (e.g. consultation hours changing location).
